NTA Lagos Interview on Waste to Wealth
The MD of KIC Cleaners Ltd (Green Recycle by KIC) graced NTA Lagos Channel 10' The Sunday Show" as a guest on 4th May 2025. The discussion was on turning plastic waste to wealth as a sustainable stream of income.
E-Waste Relief Foundation
MD was one of the speakers at the 4th edition of the Lagos E-waste Handlers Capacity Enhancement Program (hosted by the E-waste relief foundation). It focused on training on safe & sustainable waste handling. Program held on 17th April 2025 in Lagos.
RAN Conference
Held on 1st and 2nd May 2025, at Port Harcourt. It's the 2nd Annual conference of the Recyclers Association of Nigeria. The theme of the conference was "Recycling for prosperity, creating jobs, growing economies". MD was elected treasurer of the association on Day 2

Plastic for Food Project
Hosted by GR in partnership with Technoserve on 20th Sept 2024, at Atunise Street, Olowora, Lagos. People were given raw food items in exchange for plastics. Sensitisation on plastic waste recycling also took place.
NPSA USAID Launch
The COO of GR (Mr. Tosin Olatunbosun) attended the launch of the Nigeria Plastic Solution Activity (NPSA) project funded by the Coca-Cola foundation and USAID [@usaid ]. The NPSA project (to be implemented by Technoserve) was launched on Monday, 6th of May 2024. This project is aimed at strengthening the capacity of Recyclable Waste Collectors, Aggregators, and Recyclers to achieve a goal of 49,000 metric tonnes of recycled plastics across Lagos and Anambra.
Technoserve Visit
The CEO of Technoserve was hosted at the GR Plant on the 15th of July 2024 as part of the USAID-CocaCola grant winners for the NPSA project facilitated by Technoserve.
Plastic Barter
Hosted by Green Mind International Academy, in partnership with Green Recycle by KIC. Sn initiative where you attendees brought their plastics in exchange for food stuff. Hoted on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Immanuel College Basic School, Orita U.I, beside University of Ibadan.

Mumpreneur Sensitization
It was an event called "PROJECT #TIDYMONEY - WALK FOR CLEANLINESS." The project was facilitated by @mumpreneur.ng to bring enlightenment to Opic residents on recycling. The Isheri Opic community was gifted 5 recycling bins positioned at strategic places for people to throw in their plastics & 5 women benefitted from GR's "Earn from recycling" program. The event held on 9th December 2023.
UNIDO-FBRA Seminar
Held on 19th April 2023. Md was invited to the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation - Food & Beverage Recycling Alliance (UNIDO-FBRA partnership) awareness raising seminar on "Solid Waste Management and Circular Economy for Recyclers." The seminar was hosted under the UNIDO project tagged "Promoting sustainable plastic value chains through circular economy practices."
MD cited the need for the development of satellite collection centres for recyclable materials in the different local goverments in Lagos State. He identified certain areas with canals as flash areas where Satellite collection centres should be situated for easy and fast plastic waste collection. This will reduce travel time of collection by recyclers in these areas, and ultimately reduce plastic waste going into the water body.
